The Way of the Past

There was a day when we as Americans thought that if we worked hard, lived right, and trusted that others were doing the same life would be pretty good.  Today that philosophy is being replaced by greed, deception, and a malicious disregard for "We the People..."  Here is a cartoon from the late forties does it conjure up anything?
